“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”- Amos 3:3
In all God does on earth, He needs a man and not just any man but one that is in agreement with Him.
To bring Revival on the earth, we must align ourselves in agreement with God.
We can’t agree with Him in just words but in heart and in action.
He must see that His people are working and preparing on earth just as He is in heaven to bring Revival on the earth.
So, how can we agree with God, how can we play our parts in preparation for Revival?
This is only a guide to the PREPARATION for Revival and not a guarantee of Revival as only God and not guidelines can guarantee a Revival. In agreeing with God and preparing for a revival, according to
Proverbs 6:16 “These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him”,
we have to put away heart desires, things and actions that the Lord hates.
1. A proud look.
One would expect the list to start with something deeper and “bigger” but God speaks of Pride.
Pride is at the root of most sin and issues in the body of Christ, so little wonder God would start with Pride.
What is a proud look?
A proud look tells of a person who would want their own will above the will of God and the will of others. It speaks of those who are too full of themselves to consider others or even God.
Now, how can such a person draw down God’s revival?
We must rid ourselves of pride to receive God’s Revival.
2. A lying tongue
Humans detest liars, would God be
pleased with a liar?
We must know the truth, speak the truth and act the truth at all times to prepare ourselves and even others watching our lives for a Revival.
3. Hands that shed innocent blood.
We must ensure that our hands are clean and pure before God. Revival cannot come to those with the blood of the innocent crying for justice on their hands.
Stay clean and pure in hands and heart.
4. A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations.
A man can’t say he is prepared for Revival, yet his heart is concocting ways to ensure the fall of his brother.
These two do not go together! Our hearts must be pure and not stained with wicked imaginations if we must stay prepared for the Revival of God.
5. Feet that be swift in running to mischief.
You can’t run in two directions at the same time.
Do you want to run to Revival or run to do mischief?
Choose your race, I admonish you to run towards Revival and far away from causing mischief.
6. A false witness that speaketh lies.
Speak the truth as you see it.
Whether it be in your favour or not.
Do not bear false witness against your brother and expect God to be pleased with you or send Revival your way.
7. He that soweth discord among brethren.
God hates this the most. We want Revival to hit not just one person but everyone, but how will that happen when there is a seed of discord causing disunity amongst brethren?
The Spirit of revival works hand in hand with the spirit of Unity. Do not be a
sower of discord!.
Now, if you have erred in one or more areas above, repent today. Ask the
Lord to cleanse you with the blood and prepare you for the Revival. Hallelujah!!
