Worship and revival

WORSHIP AND REVIVAL (PART 3)

When we hear and relate to the act of worship, words, and songs come to mind but, it is not restricted to words and songs alone.
In the Old testament, kneeling, prostrating, and falling face down were all acts of worship, even adoration in silence is an act of worship.

The Key Component

The key component in worship, no matter what posture you decide to take, is the involvement of the heart in humility, respect, and total submission to God. This is the worship that reaches and touches God.
Many great men both in the Old and New testaments and many more in contemporary times, who have done great things in the name of God, raising the dead, healing the sick, and casting out devils amongst many other things, have mostly had one thing in common – the worship of God with a child-like heart.
They did not just focus on having prayer times but, their secret was in this kind of worship is an immense adoration that comes up in the spirit of a humble and grateful man who is in awe of who God is. This is who God is drawn to; a humble worshipper. When God dwells with men, this is Revival and humble worship is like a magnet to the presence of God. In every revival where God has shown Himself, there have been people who fell down in worship.
Throughout the bible, we see men like Isaiah who cried out their unworthiness,
(Isaiah 6:5)
Then I said, “It is all over! I am doomed, for I am a sinful man. I have filthy lips, and I live among people with filthy lips. Yet I have seen the King, the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.”)

and men like David who shamelessly adored and worshipped God without concern for what others might say,
(2 Samuel 6:14-22)
“Michal, the daughter of Saul, came out to meet David and said, ‘How the king of Israel honored himself today, uncovering himself today before the eyes of his servants’ female servants, as one of the vulgar fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!’
And David said to Michal, ‘It was before the LORD…’
I will make myself yet more contemptible than this, and I will be abased in your eyes…”)

According to
James 4:8a ‘Draw nighs to Him and He will draw nigh to you’…
The more we draw to Him, the more He draws to us and the more He dwells with us. That is the revival we seek.
Worship is complete when it is focused on the personality of God. Every day is a day to examine your worship and realign its focus and as your heart keeps lifting God up, His Glory will be made manifest in and through you in no time. Hallelujah! Seek out opportunities and meetings where you can worship the Father in spirit and in truth and stay revived!
